STRENGTHENING OF CIVIL SOCIETY ORGANISATIONS

AGAPE and its partner PASSI Società Cooperativa, strongly believe in the collaborative work between civil society organisations. They consider it as an important opportunity to grow together and to pursue the road to sustainability and autonomy.

HOW IT ALL BEGAN

CAMMINI MINIMI was born as a project of PASSI Società Cooperativa and in response to two main problems:

  1. The need to strengthen African and European non-profit youth organisations so that they can interact and cooperate on the same level and multiply the impact of their actions, in order to be considered by national, African and European institutions as reliable, constructive and capable of generating change;
  2. In this historical moment of great economic, social and political changes, it is important to create a meta-organisation, a transcontinental network organisation capable of working with a project perspective as a wide-ranging development office.

In Mozambique, the project has evolved and consolidated as an enduring help and support to local organisations with which AGAPE works, both through the transfer of skills with targeted training and the arrival of qualified international volunteers in the project area.

Activities

PROJECT DESIGN

Organisations learn how to analyse the context in which they operate and how to respond to the needs of their community. From this understanding, they are then able to design and present projects to funding entities that are responsive to the real needs of their fellow citizens.

PROJECT MANAGEMENT

By managing the entire project cycle (from the organisation of activities to problem-solving and reporting) organisations are supported through all phases of the projects they carry out.

COMMUNICATION AND FUNDRAISING

Communicating the identity of the organisation, highlighting the values and characteristics that make it unique, understanding who the stakeholders are and how to communicate with each of them, and understanding how to find the resources to develop increasingly complex projects.

Impact

Organisations with which AGAPE collaborates at this level do not only receive support related to the individual project, but they also have the opportunity to grow at an institutional and organisational level, by improving in the identification of resources and partnerships, in project management and in enhancing their image towards stakeholders.
