If a few months ago someone had told us that by flipping through the TV channels we would have come across an advertisement that talked about an AGAPE project, we would never have believed it. And instead it really happened, our small association entered the homes of all Italians for 30 seconds, several times, in the first two weeks of September: we went on air on La7!

This adventure was born like this, a bit by chance: Salvatore Giommarresi, a cartoonist who had already collaborated with us on the migration project, decided at the beginning of May to give us 3 prints dedicated to Mozambique. We quickly got moving: we created the web page that told the story of the initiative and the 2-minute video for the promotion. Choosing the project to link the campaign to was simple: Salvatore in Mozambique had taken part in the Entendarte project, he had done a workshop with the children of Maputo last year, teaching them how to make a comic, and we thought about giving continuity to the project, raising funds for art and for the children and young people who participate in the workshops.

Three, two, one…we started: the fundraising began on June 4th! We were really happy with the campaign and we couldn’t help but seize the opportunity that would soon be offered to us. One of our volunteers who works at La7 told us that she could put us in contact with the person who deals with advertising for non-profit organizations and that if we had a 30-second spot she could run it for free for two weeks. And so we did, we immediately got to work cutting and re-editing the video, shortening it and adding a narrator who told the essence of the project in a few words.

It was a wonderful satisfaction to receive calls from our supporters who said they had seen us on TV. And all this could not have happened without the participation and teamwork of many volunteers who made their artistic and logistical skills available to achieve this result.
